What is included in a motion control day at Rambow?

Every Rambow day includes the robot, our own operator and technician, Flair software, the standard track, and the truck. Nothing is added later except overtime past 10 hours, extra track sections, turntables, and an extra technician on very long track runs.

Prelight: for anything with more than a few setups we recommend a prelight day to program the moves, so the shoot day is only about the shot. Prelight rates are a little under shoot rates for every rig.

Crew minimum is two, operator and technician. Very long track runs, or two rigs, need a third. Meals every six hours.

Power: the Bolt and Bolt-X run on three-phase 208V, the Bolt Jr+ and Milo on single-phase. We do not supply generators or EcoFlow power stations. On location with a generator, we need the generator type and output in advance so our operators can confirm it. A Bolt-X usually wants a large truck plant; on a smaller tow plant expect a ground inspection and a request to bring the voltage down slightly.

Travel: outside New York City we bill drive time each way plus tolls; over 300 miles is quoted per job with hotels and per diems. We have taken the robots as far as Miami and Aspen.

Insurance: we need your certificate of insurance before the job, naming Rambow Studios LLC, with rented equipment coverage at replacement cost. A sample COI goes out with the booking agreement, or on request before the job is locked. Full terms are on the booking page.

Rates as of October 2026, US dollars, per 10-hour crew day. The signed booking agreement governs.
